Taking every opportunity to preach the clear Gospel, in whatever circumstance (II Timothy 4:2), Preacher Hy McEnery presented the Gospel at two beautiful Louisiana weddings, so far, in 2022. When clearly explained, the Holy Spirit takes the Word of God and makes children of God. That is the primary purpose of LAMB Ministries. And, to that end, we seize every opportunity. Our lovely Trachelle and her beloved Courtney were married in April. And, wonderful John and Ellie were married in March. Two new families, both grounded in the Lord, have been created in His name. LAMB Ministries was blessed to be a part of these new beginnings.
No longer simple Bible Studies, our two small House Church meetings are gathering around Dinner and God’s Word every week. Every Monday night, 8-16 friends from the New Orleans Business Community meet for a full dinner, fellowship, and the verse by verse study of the Bible, taught by Chaplain Hy McEnery with an Easter Sermon for this week! Other than Holidays, we are studying the Gospel of Matthew. Many have come to this weekly event because they heard Hy’s weekly politically incorrect Christian Radio Talk Show, The Founders Show, which airs on 99.5 FM, every Sunday morning at 8-9:00 AM, and 3 more times during the week on 2 other stations. Also evolving into a House Church meeting, every Wednesday night, we meet with New Orleans youth and families. We use our famous big LAMB Van to pick up inner city New Orleans youth and families all around the city and bring them to our Ministry Center home to enjoy Christian fellowship, a sit down 3 course dinner and the verse by verse study of God’s Word together, before driving everyone back home. Right now, Preacher Hy is teaching the book of Colossians. Last week our memory verse was Colossians 2:6: “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him”. About 15-20 people usually attend, and this week we’ll have our annual LAMB Easter Egg Hunt!
We have been blessed to see young people and adults in both groups voluntarily take leadership roles. On Mondays, one fine man creates study booklets for each lesson, and, before and after the lesson, another wonderful friend, a concert pianist plays our hymns on the piano after our excellent museum historian teaches the histories of each hymn! On Wednesdays, a quiet and gentle 14 year old leader has stepped up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and is starting to teach the Memory Verse! A strong and loving adult lady has become the Disciplinarian, and is in charge of serving the dinner! And Mr Mark leads us in prayer after teaching a short lesson on Biblical applications! The Lord is greatly blessing LAMB Ministries with the spiritual growth of our members. LAMB Ministries’ two regular weekly meetings and the Radio Shows rarely change. Throughout each week, we hold or attend other ministry events, taking kids and adults with us- “Preach the word; be instant in season and out of season”.
