“I want to believe on Jesus”, said five year old Elam. We only had 10 for Bible Study this week, the week before Easter. And, only two little ones. We had been praying for very active, dancing, and beloved Elam. It has been humanly impossible to lead him to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Like us all, Elam needed the drawing and teaching power of the Holy Spirit to make the Gospel known to his heart. He could never sit still enough to listen and believe. The 5 to 8 other little ones who usually come to Bible Study don’t sit still either! We need to be able to focus on one at a time. But how? This week, Elam was alone with only his gentle 3 year old brother to distract him. This was the night for Elam to listen and to believe the clear Gospel. Using the Child Evangelism “Flipper Flapper” to explain Elam’s great need for salvation, we carefully led him step by step to faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. With his baby dimple smile and a glorious light shining through his eyes, Elam finally understood that Jesus died for him, and rose from the dead! Elam shouted, “I believe”! With joy, he went to the older people in our group, and announced that he is now a member of God’s Forever Family!! This is the Lord’s purpose for LAMB Ministries in New Orleans. Elam is LAMB’s purpose! And, Shante’. And, Daniel. And, Terrace. And, Terrianne. And, Mrs Mia. And, Mr. John. And, all whom the Lord brings to us!
Ronnie Lamarque to the rescue! On our way to officiate at a missionary wedding in Tennessee, we were attacked by a large deer buck on the Natchez Trace. The damage was enormous on our 12-seater Ford van! But, thanks to Ronnie’s generous charity and his Ford dealership, we were able to have it fixed at a greatly reduced rate. Our kids are now rolling again to our various LAMB events. Thank you, Ronnie, and thank you Lord.
Our precious friend from Texas, Mrs Lee, joined us this week for our two Bible Studies. Lee and her wonderful husband, Graham, have been long time supporters, prayer warriors, and a former board member for LAMB. Recently, they made it possible for us to have our piano tuned, and moved into the dining room where we hold our Monday night Adult Bible Study and Dinner. Now, lovely and talented Mrs Isabel plays, and our group can sing joyful hymns every week! It has made a huge difference! We thank these loving friends for their amazing contributions to the Lord’s work through LAMB Ministries. Hy is now teaching I Corinthians to a reduced group due to Covid of 7-12 New Orleans business, professional, and retired men and women. This class began back in 2009! For 12 years we have covered many Old and New Testament Books. And, thanks to our AWARD WINNING Technology, ActivePure®, from NASA, we now assemble and live in a Covid Free Zone Home! Praise God!!
Easter is an amazing opportunity for telling people about The Risen Christ, God the Son... The real Reason for the Season! We explain to all who will listen that Jesus died to pay the penalty for all sin, for all people, for all time; and then three days later, rose from the dead to give the free gift of eternal life to all who will believe. We have two unchanging evangelistic Dinners and Bible Studies each week, as well as regular outreaches throughout each week. He explains the Gospel clearly on every show to a very large audience as WRNO’s #1 Arbitron rated weekend show! Many have told us that they listen regularly to the Show, and that they have trusted Christ through it. That is the reason for LAMB Ministries to invest in 8 one hour long radio programs every week.
