LAMB Ministries is a Christian, evangelistic, and interdenominational ministry led by Chaplain Hy and Libba McEnery which reaches the entire Greater New Orleans area, especially Orleans and Jefferson Parish, for Jesus Christ. We do this through two weekly Bible Studies and Dinners (one for youth and one for adults) in our ministry center home in New Orleans, bringing people to outreaches at Jefferson and Orleans Parish Churches, Chaplain duties in many different military and social groups throughout the Greater New Orleans area, and through Hy’s weekly hour long Christian, cultural, and political radio talk show, The Founders Show, which can be heard on 99.5 FM WRNO, every Sunday morning from 8:00-9:00 am, and throughout the week on WSLA and in Arizona on Rattlesnake Radio! Our Ministry is ready to assist hurting people in any way we can. Many desperate people of the urban poor have and are being helped as we work to build the whole person by ministering to their various needs, their educational, career, financial, domestic, health, and recreational goals. Lots of food has been served and given for “take home” to truly needy families and individuals! LAMB has supplied much clothing and school uniforms to many needy people. LAMB has provided transportation and practical help to many. LAMB has bought and delivered food and supplies to countless suffering families. Over the years, we have had many summer camps and retreats with as many as 72 people in our large home! We do this all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His glory.
Money to pay for all this, since the year 1997, has come from various Churches, individuals, corporations, foundations, and through our Bed and Breakfast / Ministry Center home! LAMB is a 501 (c) (3) Charitable Organization and can give tax receipts to all donors. Since Katrina, LAMB Ministries has brought over 200 out of town Churches and groups for rebuilding homes and businesses after destructive hurricanes! We have trained each group in Evangelism, and then led them in the physical work of rebuilding, cleaning and repairing! Never evacuating, LAMB Founder and Director, CH Hy McEnery, with his military background always stays at home in order to help with search and rescue efforts during and after disasters! He was a vital part of the original “Cajun Navy”, after Katrina! He and LAMB workers have labored hard during and after many area disasters bringing aid and comfort to lots of struggling people and families. The purpose of LAMB Ministries is to bring glory to God and to bless people! Thanks for the opportunity to share our story!
Our Current SITREP
Had a fabulous citywide evangelistic blitz with over 500 kids attending 23 Five Day Clubs, mini vacation Bible schools, with over 100 decisions for Christ. Amen and a Hallelujah shout out! In heaven, the angels rejoiced!! We thank the Lord, Rev Jerry Purtell, SMITE, and the Jolissaints of NOLA CEF. Also, we had five new little girls in our youth Bible study that trusted Christ for their new Heavenly Home!
By complete surprise at the end of this July, LAMB had the great honor of being awarded the Civics Trophy by the Alliance for Good Government (AGG). We were so excited and encouraged by such an accolade. PTL!
