“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
Galatians 5:1

Mrs. Martise

Jesus Christ, God the Son, paid the penalty for all sin, for all people, for all time by his death on the cross. By his resurrection from the dead, he gave the free gift of everlasting life to all who will believe.  That is the clear Gospel.  And, it is also the way to live a victorious Christian life on this earth.  By God’s marvelous grace through faith alone in Christ alone… “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.” (Colosians 2:6)  So, why is it so difficult for people to grasp this.  One death, Jesus Christ’s, was enough.

LAMB Ministries holds at least two Bible Studies every week, both serving full three course, sit down dinners to 12 to 20 people at each dinner. We preach the Gospel on five weekly Radio Talk Shows.  And, we attend or lead various outreaches, prayer Breakfasts, and Bible Studies throughout each week.  LAMB’s purpose is to lead people to saving faith in Jesus Christ by explaining the clear Gospel each time, and then teaching God’s inspired Word to them.  After more than twenty years teaching the Bible, we are still trying to reach people from every Denomination who are trusting in their own righteousness or the Mosaic Law (which was given only to Israel “til the seed should come” Galatians 3:19). “But wait,” said 50 year old Mrs. Martise this week, “we have to obey the Ten Commandments and get baptized to go to Heaven.  Right?” Reading from Galatians 3:21, we answered, “...if there had been a law which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.” And from Galatians 2:21, “...for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Mrs. Martise’s question is not unusual. When people finally let go of their own fruitless efforts to obey the Mosaic Law or when they stop trusting their own good works to please God and place their trust in God’s righteousness instead, they discover new freedom and power from the Holy Spirit to live pleasing to God.  Mrs.  Martisa trusted Christ this week.  She received his free gift of eternal life. He paid for it ahead of time, for her and for all, by his death, burial and resurrection.
