Nine kids under nine years old join us every week for our LAMB Youth Bible Study and Dinner along with their parents, sisters, and brothers! We host at least 16 to 25 every week. Some get to Bible Study on their own. The two hour drive around town to pick up everyone and then again to bring them home after Bible Study requires two vans and two drivers. We drive at least 7 little ones who require car seats. No one under 8 is allowed without a parent or guardian. When we all arrive at Bible Study, things can get a bit wild! We begin each Study with the Pledge of Allegiance, a short lesson on the US Constitution, the Biblical Origins of America, a word from our faithful volunteer, Mr. Mark, about walking by faith alone in Christ alone, and then a prayer of Thanksgiving. Then, like our Monday Bible Study for 15 to 19 adults from the New Orleans Business Community, we serve Mrs. Libba’s full sit down dinner which includes an entree, sides, a salad, and desserts! Then we break into two age groups. As Mrs Mila said, “We can’t listen while little kids are in the room”, so Mrs. Libba takes the children to their own class (Toys are badly needed for this group of children!). After we break into groups, we start the main course and the very reason for LAMB Ministries, our study of God’s inspired Word. On Wednesday nights, Mrs Libba teaches the little ones the Bible using the very excellent Child Evangelism materials while Hy is teaching through the Book of Romans. Our Monday Night Bible Study for adults is on a short summer break, to make time for leading Evangelism Teams who come from out of town every summer. In September, Hy will resume teaching II Corinthians on Monday nights. Everyone is invited! Our routines have remained constant for over twenty years for Wednesdays and twelve years for Mondays. Those attending the Bible Studies have changed through the years, but a lot of folks have been attending from the beginning. Three generations of some of the families often attend! People have grown strong in God’s Word and their lives show it.
LAMB Ministries also has a weekly hour long Christian Conservative Political Radio Talk Show, The Founders Show, which airs Sunday mornings on 99.5 FM at 8:00-9:00 AM. The purpose of the show is to explain the clear Gospel to a large secular audience. Many have told us that they have trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through Hy’s Gospel preaching on this popular program. Hy McEnery and his Co Host, Christopher Tidmore, have faithfully put on The Founders’ Show for over 10 years! And, it is always really great!
Everyone is welcome at every LAMB Ministries event! And, all events are free to all, for Proverbs 23:23 says, “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” Please pray for the youth and adults in LAMB Ministries. Please help us to reach New Orleans kids and adults with the saving message of the Gospel and to disciple them in God’s Word, the Bible. We are so grateful to the Lord for all who pray, volunteer, and donate to LAMB Ministries. We have continued to safely meet with wonderful people throughout each week and on the Radio to proclaim God’s wonderful Word! Please continue to support and to pray for our Ministry as we seek to serve the Lord in this, His city, New Orleans. Please pray for our tech skills and for toys for our little ones, our little boys and girls! Please pray for all who are part of LAMB, and that the Lord will bring new people to hear his Word.
