Renny first came to Bible Study in February. She is six. Her little brother, Lil Bob, came too. He is two. They live next door to Ms Christine who comes with her two little ones. While trying hard to teach the Bible to six squirmy little children, I noticed that Renny’s teeth were bleeding. And some were very crooked. She kept moaning with pain. I held her on my lap as I went over the clear Gospel in baby terms. She seemed comforted. Hy said that when he drove everyone home that night, Renny cried the whole way. When we picked everyone up the next week, Renny and Lil Bob came running to the fence. Their Mom wouldn’t let the children come to Bible Study. Renny cried. We were never allowed again to put Renny and Lil Bob into the big Ministry Van until last week. Renny was allowed to come! She was happy and had a wonderful time. But, she wasn’t still enough to listen to the Bible Lesson and the Gospel. Until the drive home! She sat still in the van right behind Hy. And she listened quietly as he explained to her that Jesus, God the Son, loves her, that he died to pay the penalty for all of her sins even her future sins, and that he rose from the dead to freely give her eternal life, Heaven, if she would only trust him for it. Renny did. She believed on Jesus Christ right then, and gladly so! She came back to Bible Study again this week. As soon as she got into the van, smiling, she announced, “I believed in Jesus! I am going to Heaven some day!” It was her joyful announcement that made us cry! The Wednesday night Bible Study has been meeting since 2000. There have been countless Rennys. God loves each one. We do too.
New people come to the two LAMB Bible Studies all of the time. The Lord brings them. Monday nights are for adults mostly from the New Orleans Business, professional, and retirement communities. Some hear Hy’s invitation on his Christian Radio Talk Show, The Founders’ Show, every Sunday morning on 99.5 FM, 8:00-9:00 am. Others come at the invitation of friends. We have been meeting since 2009. All are invited. Like the Wednesday Bible Study for youth and their families, we serve a sit down Dinner, and then Hy teaches through the Bible, verse by verse. Many have trusted Jesus Christ. Many have grown in their faith. We are committed to explaining the Gospel, and teaching the Bible to as many people as possible. Knowing so great salvation, how can we do anything else!
Please pray for Renny and for the youth and adults in LAMB Ministries. Please help us to reach New Orleans kids and adults with the saving message of the Gospel and to disciple them in God’s Word, the Bible. We are so grateful to the Lord for all who pray, volunteer, and donate to LAMB Ministries. We have continued to safely meet with wonderful people throughout each week and on the Radio to proclaim God’s wonderful Word!
