LAMB Ministries' core group of about fifty inner city NOLA teens and children attend classes, mission trips, camping trips and Bible Clubs regularly. This number is ever-changing and growing, as the young people bring friends and family members into the group. Some have actually grown up in LAMB Ministries and are now bringing their own children!

Every Wednesday night LAMB provides a huge, home cooked hot meal followed by a challenging Bible Study to about thirty of these young people. There are usually seven or more teachers, drivers, cooks and volunteers who also participate in the weekly event. Three of these are paid for their help. This Bible Study and dinner is held at the Laurel Street Bed and Breakfast, the welcoming home of Hy and Libba McEnery.  These Bible Studies and Dinners have been ongoing since the year 1999.

Every Monday Night, LAMB Ministries hosts and leads a Bible Study and the same huge, home cooked hot meal to 14-20 adult members of the New Orleans Business Community. These weekly events are also held at Hy and Libba McEnery's B&B home at 5127 Laurel Street, NOLA, 70115. They have been ongoing since 2009. A number of adults have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior at this very special LAMB Ministries Bible Study! Chaplain Hy McEnery is the Bible Teacher and Libba McEnery is the chef and hostess.

At Christmas time, LAMB Ministries gives hams to twenty-five needy families as well as Christmas toys and stockings to one hundred needy young people. With donations from generous families, LAMB Ministries takes 15-20 of the most impoverished New Orleans kids to The Celebration of Lights and Amusement Park at City Park! They are greatly blessed every year with the experience!

Ministry Needs

Ministry work is done out of the Laurel Street Bed and Breakfast, which is owned by Hy McEnery and Libba McEnery, who are currently the Directors and staff of LAMB Ministries. The B&B alone is adequate for the ministry needs, and works well for LAMB’s outreach to the New Orleans Business Community and to Urban families. The two weekly hour long Ministry Radio programs are recorded out of the B&B! The building is large and old! It was built is 1869 and is in sore need of repair. However, it is perfect for ministry to any and all who will come! It is even large enough to house Church Teams of volunteers who come to join LAMB in ministry to New Orleans. As many as 72 have stayed for up to a week! Hy and Libba love using their home for serving the Lord in any capacity!

LAMB Ministries owns two ministry vans, for the very necessary task of regularly transporting impoverished youth and their families to ministry functions several times every week, weekly church events and frequent missions and camping trips. One of these vans holds eight passengers and the other holds twelve, including two baby seats. LAMB vehicles are not large enough to carry all of the young people who are desirous of attending these functions. There is a great need for a small bus or an extra large shuttle style van. Or maybe just more drivers and their vehicles!  Volunteers are needed!

LAMB Ministries is supported by the Lord through the prayers and donations of His people. About 7-10 Churches and Ministries, as well as a number of faithful and generous individuals and families support LAMB financially. Many are prayer partners. LAMB grows and does the Lord's work as He provides. We trust the Lord to lead His people to support His work!

The Gospel is for all, not just for kids! For, "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). And, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16).
